• Every tile is handmade. No two tiles will ever look exactly alike which is why they are unique.
• Some colours ‘spit’ in the kiln but any slight ‘spits’ will not be noticeable in the overall design.
• All sizes are cut from a 20cm x 20cm tile. Any minute irregularity in the cutting will be lost in the grouting.
• The tiles are 65mm thick. Allowance will have to be made for ‘bedding up’ to achieve a uniform surface if they are used with larger format (usually thicker) tiles.
Technical specification:
All tiles are suitable for general, decorative wall use including power showers.
All tiles are sealed before dispatch making them waterproof .
Due to the highly specialist nature of these tiles, we do not recommend their use in floors or any horizontal surface where they will be subjected to heavy wear and scratching. To keep these tiles at their best we recommend that they do not come into contact with any abrasive cleaner or natural acid.
All tiles in this range have and will craze. This is entirely due to the nature of the glaze itself but this will have minimal effect on the use of the tile if the above guidelines are followed.
These tiles are hand decorated tile designs; any slight variations in colour, shade, design and minor imperfections are characteristic of the unique glaze system and the hand-painting process.
The glazes are such that they will move and flow in the kiln, therefore designs may not look exactly as they are on the website .
All tiles sizes given are nominal sizes.
Limits of liability – We assume no responsibility for any faulty installations of our tiles. We extend no guarantees, expressed or implied as to wear resistance or maintenance.
I love working with Jaafar Designs to produce this contemporary range of tiles using their unique glazes. It has limitless possibilities for interior and exterior wall art – definitely along the lines of Coletivo Muda, a personal favourite …. And not just for professional designers but all creative people
